Huey Mack - Higher (Official Video)

Mac Miller's producer Big Jerm linked up with West Virginia based artist Huey Mack to make his first single. "Higher" is possibly one of the chillest story-telling songs I've heard in awhile. The visuals for it are pretty sick too. Check out Huey Mack's first single "Higher."

Vince Staples - Queenzbridge Zoo

If you listen to Odd Future, then you might know Vince Staples, who is featured in a couple tracks by them. He hasn't had an official mixtape, or album, which is really disappointing because he's really dope. Rumor has it that a mixtape or album is dropping December 30th...

2011 MC Showcase

One sick instrumental, 16 different artists. One calling another out, it's insane.

B.O.B. EPIC (Every Play Is Crucial)

Earlier this week B.O.B. gave us EPIC (Every Play is Crucial), his highly anticipated mixtape which in my opinion is one of his best works to date. The tape has some catchy hooks, and is filled with features from artists such as Meek Mill, Lil' Wayne, Big K.R.I.T, T.I, Mos Def and more. Bobby Ray kills it again here, showing he's capable of making more then just pop radio hits. Look for more from B.O.B. as his sophomore album Strange Clouds is due out Spring 2012. Download EPIC (Every Play is Crucial) by following the link below.

Too Much Raw - Facebook Friends

So, a couple weeks ago Too Much put up a status saying that who ever likes it, their name will be included in a track. Think that's hard? It didn't seem that way for him, he killed it. Be sure to look for his first official tape, Celebration of Life, dropping January 1st, 2012.

Too Much Raw - Celebration Of Life (Mixtape) - 1.1.12

Too Much Raw, ever heard of him? If you haven't, he's been featured on a couple tracks with Alotta Cash off his mixtape Hailey's Comet, and same with Mic Stewart on Time 2 Rhyme. He's also one of the founders of the R6 Cypher, a movement which is bringing back "off the top of the dome" freestyling. Now it's his turn, dropping his first official mixtape Celebration Of Life, New Years Day, 1.1.12. His track "Sweet Love" which features Sosa, was released way back in July, but he has yet to release the track list for Celebration Of Life, so I have no clue if it will make the cut for the tape. Until then, enjoy!

Ground Up - Half Baked

With only just releasing their latest project, The Get Down, a little less then 2 months ago, the Philly trio dropped a new track last night for achieving 2k followers on twitter (@TheRealGroundUp), congrats to them! This track definitely reminds me of Cheech & Chong, with the catchy beat included. Be sure to also get their mini mixtape, Romantic Comedy, compiled of songs about women, a topic in which they love making music about, dropping 11.29.11.

Depth Affect ft. Riddlore - Else's Vision (Official Video)

Due to my cousin DQ starting a conversation on how bad rap and hip-hop is these days, and I totally agree with him on it, a good 80% of "hip-hop and rap" has some type of dance beat and says the same thing for 3 minutes in our generation. It's terrible, very few are keeping the classic stuff alive. Take Riddlore for a chance. I stumbled upon him on a youtube search, and he just puts real life issues into music form, like what artists did in the times before us.

Drake - Hate Sleeping Alone

Not even a week after Drake's Take Care album somehow found its way on the web, there's been a track that hasn't appeared on it. It's serving as an iTunes bonus track when its officially released Tuesday, but anyway check out "Hate Sleeping Alone" prod by Noah "40" Shebib.

Asher Roth "Common Knowledge" Prod. Blended Babies

I love Asher. This new track is the third time Blended Babies and Ash have linked up, (More Cowbell and Ampersand) and they are 3 for 3 in my book. Common Knowledge is the first leak off of Asher's upcoming mixtape Pabst and Jazz, which still doesn't have a set release date. Asher stays true to form with this one, delivering his signature flows, and remaining one of the few artists who stay true to who they are. While he has certainly evolved and improved lyrically, it's not hard to see that this is the same Ash that gave us The Greenhouse Effect vol. 1 way back in 2008.

R.I.P Russell Jones

Today is a day where one of the greatest MCs (atleast to me) died of a drug overdose, Ol' Dirty Bastard from the Wu-Tang Clan, possibly one of the greatest hip hop groups ever formed (yet again, my opinion). It's also sad cause it's only 2 days before his birthday too. Here's one of my favorite songs from ODB's album N*gga Please, "Got Your Money" ft. Kelis. May you rest in peace ODB!

Debaser - Sugar & Spice (A Song About Girls)

Debaser is a two man rap group from Oregon, who are also apart of the group Sandpeople. "Sugar & Spice" is pretty much my favorite song by these two guys, its strangely funny and true. They put so many things that are good and bad about women in this track. It's a damn shame...

Young Lee - Another Night (Remix)

This dude is one of my close friends, and he's been sober for just about 8 months now. This track is just him reflecting on his past and focusing on his future, using Mac Miller's "Another Night." Sorry for the somewhat bad quality though, but if you listen carefully the lyrics are pretty dope.

Sandpeople (and others)

If your looking for new music and a bunch of new artists to listen to, look no further then Sandpeople. This 12 man hip hop group out of Eugene, Oregon (yeah rappers from Oregon) have been putting out work since 2004, putting out their first album together before they had even met each other. Their success has lead to about a dozen sup-groups, solo albums, and instrumentals in addition to the groups 6 official albums together. With young forces such as Sapient, Illmaculate, Ethic, OnlyOne, as well as many other young emcees, your going to hear more from these guys in the future. The link to their website is below, with everything you need from lyrics, apparel, and discography conveniently in one place.

Oh yeah these guys make their own beats too...

Alotta Cash - Nothing's Free (Official Video) ft. Lipps

Justin Bieber - Otis (Freestyle)

I really dislike Justin Bieber, but my dude @WhoIsKennyEl showed me this and damn. This is the only thing I like by him, he put in work over Jay Z & Kanye's "Otis"

Big Sean - Dance (Official Video) ft. Nicki Minaj

You know that song, "Dance" by Big Sean, off Finally Famous? Yeah, well there's a remix, featuring the one and only Nicki Minaj, including some sick visuals too.

Bei Maejor - Trouble ft. J. Cole

Official visuals for Bei Maejor's track "Trouble" ft J. Cole.

Kid Cudi - Maniac (Short Film)

Scott Mescudi has been alot of things since he started his thing in the music industry awhile back, now its time for him to be a serial killer. Sadly, the video goes along with his song "Maniac" but they rarely play it throughout the short film, directed by Shia LeBeouf.

Immortal Technique - Toast To The Dead (Prod. by J. Dilla)

Immortal Technique never fails about making tracks about world issues. If you were following the Wall Street protest, he has an interview while he was there, and also gave out a preview of this track. "Toast To The Dead" is the first unofficial leak of his upcoming album, The Martyr, which drops October 27th. R.I.P. J. Dilla.

Tyler, the Creator - Bitch Suck Dick (Official Video) ft. Jasper & Taco

Well, I really don't know what to say about this. It's just Odd Future's newest dropped video. Damn... talk about pointless...

Mic Stewart - The Predicament (Official Video)

So, Mic Stew finally comes out with a new video, months after Time 2 Rhyme dropped. This time it's for a track called "The Predicament." The visuals is quite eerie, and it goes along with the track perfectly.

If you don't know who Mic Stewart is, he's an MC straight from Philly, who loves nothing more then music. And by that, I mean "music" not the money or the fame, just the instrumental, the lyrics, and the fans.

Jay Electronica Ft. Mobb Deep "Call of Duty"

When I first heard this track by Jay Electronica and Mobb Deep, I thought it was alright, but nothing special. Then I listened to the lyrics more closely and was surprised by how sick Jay was on here. In my mind this is without a doubt Jay's best song lyrically, and Prodigy going in for a verse at the end is nice too. This song is also obviously very new, with references to J. Cole's new album, and even to the recent death of Steve Jobs. Jay really surprised me with this one. Download below.

JAMS. - Middle Finger Lifestyle (Official Music Video)

If you didnt know who JAMS. was in the first place, he's a young MC coming straight out of Chicago. With that being said, he releases the visuals for a track off his 3rd mixtape, End of the Discussion. It's a track that's very easy to rage too.

Pac Div "The Greatness" Prod. No I.D.

This Track is brand new today, and is already blowing up the web. Pac Div, who is a trio of rappers from Southern Cali teamed up with No I.D. to produce this jam. This song is one you can play on repeat and not get tired of it. The lyrics are good, the production is good, the hook is good. If you like this track make sure to mark your calendar for November 8th when their debut album, The DiV is set to drop. Follow me up on twitter @GinNJewz

Lil Wayne ft. Pharrell - Yes

I was going through my ipod today, and found this random track with Lil Wayne and Pharrell. I used to blast this years ago when I first heard it, I used to be a complete bass head when I was younger, the songs bass is nuts. I still dislike Weezy's new stuff, his musics turned to ass after No Ceilings, it's just an opinion though. No clue when this track was released either, but it's a real sick track. Also, I recommend you listen to the song using headphones, or its going to sound really bad considering the bass makes the song.

Charles Hamilton - What The Hell's Wrong With You?! (Mixtape)

Well, so far, this week is a pretty sick week. My buddy Jordan dropped his wonderful remix of "Club Paradise" yesterday, and today my favorite musician, Charles Hamilton, has unknowingly dropped his 3rd mixtape since his release just about 2 weeks ago. Yes, this is his 3rd dropped mixtape since he's been out. Apparently, he worked on this tape while he was still in rehab. That's sick, hence the name of the tape (atleast that's what I think), What The Hell's Wrong With You?!

Kendrick Lamar - Cloud 10

I've neer really listened to Kendrick Lamar, I heard of him, never really listened to his music. My friend sent me this track earlier, and it's real chill. I may have to get into Kendrick after this. The track is so smooth and I feel like anyone can relate to this song if you listen to the lyrics carefully. Shout out to my boy Nigel @ginNjewz for sending me the track!

Moufy - Miss Newton (Official Video)

This song has been out for a long time and Im just getting to putting it up. "Miss Newton" is pretty much a short film of how alcohol can take control of a high school student, in this case its a girl. Atleast that's what I think it is, you can have your own opinion. I love watching this video, it's so powerful, and it makes it even better knowing that this could happen to anybody during school.

Jordan Williams - Club Paradise (Remix) ft. Leo Manzari

This is most likely the deepest track Ive heard in awhile. I was talking to Jordan last night about releasing it earlier, and he didn't want to because he wanted to keep the hype, now I can see why. Both Jordan and Leo do their part in the deep verses of this track. Check out Jordan William's remix to "Club Paradise" featuring Leo Manzari! This is also the first single of his upcoming mixtape Transformations: the Mixtape No Disclaimers.

Drake - Headlines (Official Video)

Not much to say but the visuals for "Headlines" was released earlier today. Be sure to check out Drake's sophomore album Take Care, dropping on Mr. Graham's birthday, October 24th.

Too Much Raw & Sean Faylon - Keep It Real (215)

Ive never heard of this Sean Faylon guy until Too Much Raw posted this track, I may have to start getting into him. Faylon linked up with with Too Much Raw and put in a couple verses over Milkbones "Keep It Real," and in all honesty, the only time I heard this instrumental was in Big L & Jay Z - Stretch and Bobbito Freestyle 95, which was real dope, 10 minutes of on the spot freestyling.

Hodgy Beats - The Dena Tape (Mixtape)

Well, I like Hodgy Beats. Everyones all on Frank Ocean, Tyler, and Earl, Im listening to Hodgy, he's just something else. Dont get me wrong, Frank, Tyler, and Earl (obviously, the kids a lyrical genius) are all good in their own way, cept I didnt get into Frank all that much. I have no clue when this tape dropped, but I really dig it. Hodgy's version of "Cannon" is by far one of my favorite remixes of the song. Check out The Dena Tape by OFWGKTA's, Hodgy Beats.

Headnodic - Dirty Diamonds (Remix) ft. Moe Pope, Bru Lei, Very, Jern Eye, Nightclubber Lang & One Be Lo

According to UrbanDictionary, "Headnodic" is a quality of a musical beat which makes you unknowingly or uncontrollably nod your head to it. Well, after hearing this track, I believe thats true. Within the first minute I noticed I was nodding my head, the beat is just something else, using a piano, drums, and some other instrument I cant think of. Just listen...

Kenny El - So Magical ft Aggy Dave

Kenny El's newest track, featuring our good friend Dave. To my knowledge, the track features and ATC sample. Also, he will be releasing a new track in the coming weeks, and he's excited to be releasing it. Anyway, check out "So Magical" ft Aggy Dave.

Ground Up - The Get Down (Mixtape)

9.20.11 has arrived! The Philly trio has undoubtedly released one of their best works yet. With the production of the groups very own Bij Lincs, they use a variety of tracks, making it have a sick vibe to it. Big Z and Twist Da Wizerd also helped with some of the production. Another reason you should check this tape out, is that my own mother even digs the tape, and that rarely happens. You know the music is good when your mom wants to listen to it. Be sure to also check out the tour dates!

Notorious B.I.G. - What Up Gangsta (Dirty Harry Blend)

Personally, this is my favorite Biggie remix, Im disappointed on the length of it though. Other then that, Dirty Harry puts a couple verses of Biggie over 50 Cent's "What Up Gangsta." Its real dope.

Notorious B.I.G. - Everyday Struggle (Frogs in Socks BiG Bootleg Remix)

Well, Im lost within this remix. What happened? Im not sure, its quite a sick remix though. Never heard Biggie like this before.

Logic just dropped a new dope track. From what it seems, he does his own version of "The Heist" originally by the punchline king, Big L. Check out Logic's track "Street Dreams." Big L Rest In Peace!

Mic Stew - Road To Atlanta (Dreams For Sale)

Much love and congratulations to Philly's own Mic Stew. He recently won the Red Bull EmSee on Thursday night. Now he's going to be on his way to Atlanta where he'll perform in front of Eminem, yes he will be performing in front of the actual Eminem. Here's his newest video/trailer, "Road To Atlanta."

The Philly trio drops another hit, as the first single off their next project, The Get Down. Malakai and Azar do their usual thing, killing the beat, and they also have Aziz come in with a dope verse too. Be sure to grab The Get Down, September 20, 2011.

Ox!de - OHSHITT

Well, my two favorite genres in music are straight hip-hop (not rap, there is a difference) and electronica (dubstep, house, electro etc.) and I haven't posted much of electronica lately. Here's one of my buddys, he goes by Ox!de, and he mashes dubstep and electro. Here's his most recent release which is titled "OHSHITT."

The Charles Hamilton Story (Video)

If you don't know me on a personal level, Charles Hamilton is by far my favorite musician and he influences me the most. I found this video earlier today and watched the entire thing. I thought I knew mostly everything about him, but this showed me new info. Sorry that the video is 40 minutes long, but it's worth watching if you're a fan of Charles' music.

Also, here's the very first track I ever heard by Charles Hamilton, it's also one of my favorites. It samples Kanye's "I Wonder."

Pusha T - Trouble On My Mind ft. Tyler, the Creator (Video + Mp3)

Drake - Headlines (Prod. Boi-1da & 40)

The first official single from Drake's sophomore album, Take Care is finally here! Personally, I like this release more then "Marvin's Room" and "Trust Issues." The track was produced by Boi-1da and 40, who collaborated for the production of "Over" and "Miss Me" from Drizzy's debut Thank Me Later. Drake is such a good artist, he doesn't need to collab with someone to switch from rapping to singing on the track.

Calvin Harris - Bounce ft. Kelis (Video + Mp3)

I found this while watching late night MTV videos, it has a catchy beat and I've had it stuck in my head for the past couple days. Check out the visuals for "Bounce"

Throwback Thursday

I know it's not Thursday, its Friday, but I haven't done a throwback in weeks that I just thought of doing one again. Im trying to get back into it, but this weeks throwback is Gheto Boys "Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta." Now, everyone may know this instrumental through Wiz's "Damn It Feels Good To Be A Taylor," I wouldn't be surprised about it, but this track track came out way before Wiz started recording music.

R6 Cypher - Episode 7

Longest episode yet. Just about 10 MCs ripping it. Sick.

Chiddy Bang - Under The Sheets (Video)

I've always loved Chiddy Bang, ever since I heard their first track "Kids" before it was switched to "Opposite of Adults." That doesn't matter though, here's the new visuals for their track "Under The Sheets," where Xaphoon Jones sampled Ellie Goulding's "Under The Sheets." Might I say he did a fine job with it too. Here's the video for "Under The Sheets."

Macklemore - Wings (Prod. by Ryan Lewis) (Official Video)

In my opinion, this is hands down the best video I've ever seen, and the song makes it so much better. It has a mixture of a children's chorus, awesome beat, and the emotional lyrics that Macklemore is known for doing, making it such a powerful video and song. Many helped to contribute into funding for the this video, which needed $10,000 to create, but fans were supportive enough to raise over $20,000, so that Zia Mohajerjasbi could recreate Mackmemore’s vision. Check out the official video for "Wings."

Logic - Mind Of Logic ft. Camille Michelle Gray (Video)

"I listen with attention to the judgement of all men; but so far as I can remember, I have followed none but my own." - Michael Eyquem de Montaigne

Check out the new dope visuals for Logics "Mind Of Logic." Also, I have no idea if Young Sinatra dropped, I remember it being pushed back then I just lost track.

Hopsin - Ill Mind Of Hopsin 4 (Video)

No clue if you guys remember Hopsin, but I put up a song by him awhile back, "Sag My Pants." If you don't remember him, it's no biggie, you'll remember him after this. I'm not 100 percent sure, but I think that this is a Tyler, The Creator diss, and Hopsin pretty much destroys him. His rhymes are smart and funny at the same time, it's great. Check out "Ill Mind Of Hopsin 4."

Too Much Raw - Sweet Love ft. Sosa

It feels like, soul music...with a hip-hop flow to it. Sorry I can't get the download link up, Im not using my regular computer. I'll put it up the DL link as soon as I can. Even without the link, still listen to it while searching for random things on the internet, it's worth it. Its all about love my people!

The Lessondary - Faded (Video)

Now, I've never heard of The Lessondary before, but my friend sent me this track and it's absolutely one of the chillest tracks I've heard. The Lessondary consists of 5 artists, Von Pea, Spec Boogie, Che Grand, DonWill, and Elucid. The instrumental reminds me of A Tribe Called Quest or The Pharcyde, I'm not sure why, but it does. Plus the lyrics makes it even better. Check out the visuals for "Faded" Shout out to Quincy for sending me the track.

JAMS - The Sky Is My Canvas (Mixtape)

The Sky Is My Canvas is finally released from the young Chi-Town artist JAMS. He's not just another kid talking about his dreams, he's attempting to make them come true, and so far, I think they will. Don't sleep on JAMS, he's not just your average young artist. Did I mention that he just graduated high school?

Alotta Cash - Gettin Younger (Prod. by Akentric)

This morning, my man Alotta Cash sent me his new track, might I say it's sick work. The beat is crazy and Alotta goes in with his lyrics. To me, I think it's a perfect song to roll one too, but that's just me. Hopefully this will hold everyone over until Hailey's Comet drops, which will be soon.

Kenny El - Before It All Happened (Mixtape)

Damn, I haven't heard my friend Kenny El for like 2 years til a track showed up on my ipod, I had to show the talent this kid has. I'll provide 2 tracks and his mini mixtape, Before It All Happened. When that tape was made, he was only 15-16, now Im pretty sure he's 17, but I don't really talk to him anymore. Anyway, check out Kenny El's talent.

Over 21 - Dream (Official Video)

These visuals are pretty sick, I wonder how long it took to make it.. I bet everyone was laughing for a bit when they got pushed with their eyes closed, I know I would be. Besides that, Over 21 consists of Kevin Marable and Broadus Palmer, both representatives of VA. Surprisingly, they both were solo artists until they crossed paths on Twitter, after that they linked up and the duo Over 21 was created. Here's the visuals for "Dream" off their mixtape The Morning After, be sure to check that out also.

Drake - Marvin's Room (Official Video)

Check out the visuals for "Marvin's Room." This video is perfect for the song, it shows the depressed, drunk, and desperate side of Drizzy, just like the track. Watching the video you can see how terrible he's feeling. It's such a killer.

Kid Cudi - Angels & Demons

Some unreleased Cudder decided to show up earlier today. Originally, "Angels & Demons" was suppose to be on Kid Cudi's debut album, Man On The Moon, and also featuring the Clipse, but it never made reached the album, or with Clipse. It's nice to hear some of that old Cudder flow again.

Huey Mack - I Can Be (Prod. by Telling Beatz)

Congratulations to Huey Mack for hitting 5,000 followers on Twitter, in honor he released a track called "I Can Be" for everyone to enjoy. Huey deserves everything he earned with the music he's been putting out there. Be sure to also check out his recent tape Freshman 15.

Drake - Trust Issues

Drizzy decides to release another track in the middle of the night, it has that feeling that it's meant for nighttime. "Trust Issues" has a couple lines from DJ Khaled's "I'm On One," which after listening to this track a couple times, I think was very much influenced by codeine. Anyway, this is the type of Drake that I prefer, reminds me of his mixtape So Far Gone. Take Care drops October 24th, Drake's 25th birthday.

Jordan Williams - The Assassin

Now, I've been talking to Jordan for awhile about his Transformations, and he had definite dates. This track, "The Assassin (Intro)," is obviously the intro to Transformations: The EP, which is dropped July 1st. After that, Jordan is releasing Transformations: The Mixtape late summer/early fall. I'm quite excited for these tapes after I heard this single track.

Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood, Original & Phi Life Cypher Remix

Does anyone remember the Gorillaz? I sure do, one of the dopest groups I listened to ever since I started listening to music. If you don't know who they are, here's a quick background check; they are a virtual band created by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett and consists of 4 members. Those 4 cartoon characters are 2D (lead vocalist and keyboard), Murdoc Niccals (bass guitar and drum machine), Noodle (guitar, keyboard, and occasional vocals), and Russel Hobbs (drums and percussion). They go over a couple different genres such as hip-hop, alternative rock, and pop. Here's one of my favorite tracks off their first album Gorillaz which was released in 2001, which sold over seven million copies and earned them a spot in The Guiness Book of World Records as "Most Successful Virtual Band." Also check out the "Clint Eastwood (Phi Life Cypher Remix)," another favorite of mine.

MDH - Like We Don't Give A F*ck

Modern Day Hippies (MDH) is from Seattle, WA, and consists of lyricist Spriggz and producer Milo Eubank. Together they wanted to bring out a new style of music, a blend of hip-hop and indie. This track is one of the chillest songs I've ever heard and it's perfect that the fact today was the official start of summer for me.

Mickey Factz - Letter To Sonic (Prod. by Charles Hamilton)

"Where is Charles Hamilton?" That sentence has been through blogs for quite a while now, Charles has been gone for a pretty long time, I honestly thought he was dead, until I found out he was being held in a facility for awhile. Despite being diagnosed with with cancer and AIDS, yes he does have both, I hope Charles comes back into the music game, he was such a unique MC. He had an obsession with Sonic the Hedgehog, and his music told his story with women, his feelings, and his friends and family. According to Charles himself, he will be released in the next couple weeks and would like to work with Odd Future, which I think would turn out amazing. With everything happening to Charles, his close friend and former XXL Freshman cover mate Mickey Factz, took some time, grabbed a pen and pad, and wrote a song with advice to Charles, over an instrumental which was in fact made by Charles. I love Mickey for making a song to help out the lost MC.
